Description: (Updated August, 2018): Home inspectors face a variety of function and safety issues in attics, basements, crawl spaces and living spaces. Some of these are not always obvious even to veteran inspectors. Additionally, clients' increasingly high expectations of the home inspection along with rapidly changing technology are increasing potential liability issues for inspectors, regardless of association and/or licensed state standards of practice.  This course examines many of the not-so-obvious function and safety issues, discusses how new technologies affect our job and offers ways to minimize liability while still doing an effective and comprehensive home inspection.
