Welcome to the Northern Illinois Chapter of the

American Society of Home Inspectors (NIC ASHI).
The knowledge you gain will be second to none.

Wednesday, October 12th

5:30pm Associates Corner - Questions & Answers are taken from the current NHIE Home Inspection Manual. Attendees will be involved in a friendly game of home inspection trivia. The room will be split into 2 teams. After a category and value amount is selected by starting contestant, the first hand raised (as determined by chosen judge) gets 5 seconds to answer. If 5 seconds are exceeded, or answered wrong, a speaker from the other team gets a chance to answer correctly and take the points. Points tallied for bragging rights. Let's have some fun while reviewing our knowledge.

7:00pm Main Presentation:  What happens when you recommend an Architect? Mike Davenport of Davenport Architects, established a small, full service architectural firm In 1995 with a commitment to deliver value, fresh ideas, insight, creative problem solving, and the experience necessary to complete projects within budget. Since then, Mike has on numerous occasions been approached by realtors, and home owners alike after property inspections, to further evaluate and recommend corrections for structural concerns.   This is an opportunity to hear from the perspective of the Architect in these matters. Mike has been very involved in the Downers Grove community for many years. He currently sits on the Downers Grove School Board, and also serves on the Downers Grove Architectural Review and Historical Preservation Boards.
