Identify the most common types of flat roofs inspectors in Chicago and surrounding suburbs are likely to encounter. These include BUR’s (Felt & Tar, Tar & Gravel), Modified Bitumen (Rubberized Asphalt), EPDM (Rubber) & PVC

Types of Access
Recognize proper installation techniques, including the present or absence of proper flashing, fasteners, equipment curbs & deck installations and drainage.
Identify wear, age and imperfections which may decrease life expectancy and/or increase the potential for leaks.
